Just a short note to thank you for the superb job you did in organising the hog roasts at both Hallworthy and Holsworthy markets.
The comments we had back from the clients about the hog roasts were excellent and it seemed to go down very well at both markets.
Please can you thank the staff that came to carve and serve the hog roasts, they were also extremely efficient and friendly.

Best ‘Snorkers’ in the Universe?!

Dear Kenniford Farm.
I am not one to contact manufacturers about the quality and taste of their products but you guys are to be seriously congratulated. Please forward my thanks to you and your staff because your Pork and Black Pepper Sausages are the best ‘Snorkers’ in the entire universe as far as I am concerned and when I can get them, I am almost living on them! Stunning chaps and chapesses: that’s all I can say. The best ever! Now, what’s that I have sizzling under the grill as I write this? Ah yes, Kenniford Farm Pork and Black Pepper Snorkers: that’ll do nicely!

Sorry for the very late thank you. We enjoyed the ‘best ever’ hog roast at our joint party. The food/roast was excellent and the service and helpfullness of the staff was outstanding. Can’t wait for another excuse to use Kenniford Farm again.

Dear Andrew,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you very much indeed for coming to speak to the FG26/46 group in North Devon last week. I thoroughly enjoyed your talk, and I think we all went off home thinking we’d like to come and work in your business!
I was pleased I had come down to the meeting, and I know Andy has worked hard to get a good group going to the events, and they certainly asked plenty of questions which was great.
I do hope you haven’t had to bail out more pigs because of the rain, and look forward to catching up with you again soon.

Farm Visit from Lady Seaward’s School 21st November 2012

On the 21st of November 2012 we hosted a school visit from Lady Seaward’s School at Kenniford Farm. Miss Rundle’s class of 21 6-8 year olds spent the day at the farm learning all about the work carried out on the farm from piglets to sausages!
The children we’re picked up in the neighbouring village of Clyst St George by Andrew with his tractor and a large trailer borrowed from Bicton that is usually used for tours of the college.
When they reached the farm, the children were given a lesson on farming in our new meeting room before watching a sausage making demonstration in the butchery. The children were given the opportunity to help make the sausages and pack them, and the children took them home for dinner!
Keen to get a muddy, the class was then taken on a tour of the farm, where Andrew taught the children about the pig production process. The children saw many sows and piglets, including a sow that had farrowed (given birth) that morning!
Before being dropped back to school by Andrew on the tractor, the children were shown around the Farm Shop where they considered the products we produce here on the farm and the local products sourced to sell alongside them.
We believe that the class had an enjoyable and educational day out, and we welcome other schools to come and visit in the future.

Kenniford’s Scotch Eggs claim a second award in 2012

After our new Scotch Eggs were awarded a Gold at the Taste of the West Awards earlier this year, we were given the opportunity to enter them into the ‘Overall Champions’ awards. We are delighted to announce that they were awarded the winner of the ‘Best of ready meals, soups and light bites’ category.
